Coffee is our family tradition.

Our story begins in 1870, in the southern mountains of Cuba where brothers José María and Ramón Gaviña planted the seeds that would become a Gaviña coffee legacy. Francisco Gaviña, our family’s patriarch, played and worked in those coffee fields with his father, learning how to cultivate, and later, roast great coffee. His passion carried on after our family fled Cuba and settled in Los Angeles. He founded F. Gaviña & Sons, Inc. in 1967, fulfilling his dream to roast great quality coffee again.

Today, we work together as the third and fourth generation Gaviñas to ensure we are providing coffee you are proud to serve.

Improve the livelihood of small coffee farmers at origin. We provide sustainable farming assistance, community infrastructure development, education and healthcare programs.
Sustainable Sourcing
Promote long-term supply of sustainable coffee. We source coffee that is certified by Fairtrade USA, Rainforest Alliance, UTZ or USDA Organic.
Environmental Sustainability
Corporate leadership to preserve our environment. Our roasting plant achieved zero waste to landfill through reduce, reuse, recycle programs.
Social Stewardship
Respect people and give back to our community. We support over 300 local and global charities with in-kind and monetary donations.
